Knowledge of Society (YhteiskunnanTieto) and Globalnet information society development conceptions are created by Heikki Mäkinen, Doctor of Social Sciences.
Knowledge of Society
Knowledge of Society specifies social by knowledge relation, the mutual interaction of conceptual and active
forms of knowledge.
The history of conception's name goes back to the doctor's thesis of Mäkinen at 1993: Yhteiskunnan Tieto (Knowledge of
Society, In Finnish). The basic conclusion of the book is that the change described as inception of information
society, is - instead of a technological change - based on knowledge and change of social interaction founded on its
mediation.
In Knowledge of Society conception social space and time, Global and History, are not interpreted as a priori
presuppositions for knowledge but they are created in a process for management of global contingency.
Their development is presupposition for knowledge.
Globalnet
Globalnet conception is based on the theory of change of Sociality from 'Society' ('Social system', 'Social structure') on Network foundation. Social so developed creates Globalnet.
Internet is not a valid description for modern global communications network. It presupposes a priori social-historical structures. At global level there cannot be determined information security and created sociality. Globalnet is constituted of creating the connections of global and historical components of social and its social content about information society services. Their integrity is based on global risk management of knowledge and information security.
